President and Chief Executive Officer

Emmanuel Ligner is our President and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Mr. Ligner served as Chief Executive Officer at Cerba HealthCare. Prior to that, Mr. Ligner was President and Chief Executive Officer of Cytiva, a part of the Danaher Corporation. Before Cytiva, he held several leadership positions at GE in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, culminating in his appointment to President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Life Sciences. Mr. Ligner began his career in Japan with Otsuka Pharmaceuticals before joining Abbott Japan. Mr. Ligner holds an MA in commerce from Université e de Savoie in France.

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mary Blenn is our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She is responsible for leading our Company’s global manufacturing and supply chain operations, driving operational excellence and aligning Avantor’s network with its growth strategy to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery for customers globally. Before joining Avantor, she served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations & Supply Chain at Cytiva. Earlier in her career, she held several senior leadership roles at GE Healthcare, including Senior Vice President of Global Operations & Supply Chain for Life Sciences and General Manager for Global Operational Excellence & North American Operations. She earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Executive Vice President, Bioscience & Medtech Products & Chief Transformation Officer

Ludovic Brellier is our Executive Vice President, Bioscience & Medtech Products & Chief Transformation Officer. He is responsible for our Biopharma Portfolio, Production, Research & Development, NuSil, Electronic Materials, manufacturing and engineering offerings to support the current and future needs of our customers. He also leads the Revival Management Office, driving transformation initiatives across the enterprise. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Brellier served as President of Hardware Solutions at Cytiva where he led five business units responsible for early innovation through manufacturing and commercialization of services for the Biopharma industry. Mr. Brellier has more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with a track record of driving growth and leading global commercial organizations. He earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Institute National of Sciences Appliquees, in Lyon.

Executive Vice President, Asia, the Middle East and Africa (AMEA)

Christophe Couturier is our Executive Vice President, AMEA. He has extensive strategic leadership experience in the life sciences industry. Mr. Couturier leads sales, marketing and customer service for our business in AMEA, as well as the Avantor Business System and its associated LEAN processes globally. Prior to this role, Mr. Couturier was the Executive Vice President, Services. Before joining Avantor, he led business areas of services, merger integration, general management, finance and consulting at life sciences companies, including for more than a decade with MilliporeSigma. He earned an MS in management from ESSEC Business School in France.

Senior Vice President, Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer

Steven Eck is our Interim Chief Financial Officer and continues to serve in his current role as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer. In this interim role, he oversees our Company’s accounting, financial business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, internal audit and tax functions. Mr. Eck joined Avantor in 2019. Before joining the Company, he previously served as the Principal Accounting Officer of CSS Industries, Inc., a consumer products company. Prior to CSS Industries, he served as a Vice President of Finance and in other senior level finance positions at Fidelity National Information Systems, a financial technology and payments company. Mr. Eck earned a B.A. in accounting from Muhlenberg College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Brittany Hankamer is our Executive Vice President and CHRO, responsible for all aspects of our Company’s global human resources organization, including compensation and benefits, learning, talent development, workforce management and employee relations. Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Hankamer was Senior Vice President of Talent and People Operations at Avantor. In this role, she renewed our enterprise-wide focus on culture and talent, including establishing the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion office and building rigorous learning and development platforms. Ms. Hankamer joined Avantor in 2019 and was responsible for driving a global, business-focused people agenda in partnership with the sales, supply chain and manufacturing organizations. Prior to joining Avantor, Ms. Hankamer was Vice President of HR at Conquest Completion Services, LLC, after holding a series of progressive HR management roles at Halliburton Energy Services, Fidelity Investments and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company. She earned a BBA in management from Texas A&M University and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Senior Vice President, Global Communications and Brand

Allison Hosak is our Senior Vice President, Global Communications and Brand. She is responsible for communications to all stakeholder audiences, corporate marketing, financial communications and change management. Over her tenure with the Company, she has helped foster Avantor’s growth and prominence as a global leader in life sciences. She has built an integrated global communications and brand function from the ground up and led Avantor’s initial public offering, three corporate rebrands and multiple mergers and integrations. Ms. Hosak is a member of the Avantor Foundation Board of Directors and leads the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts. She earned an MBA in marketing from Lehigh University, and a BS in business administration and marketing with a minor in public relations from Kutztown University.

Executive Vice President, Quality and Regulatory

Jerry Porreca is our Executive Vice President, Quality and Regulatory. He is responsible for leading quality assurance, quality systems and regulatory affairs globally across all Avantor’s businesses. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Porreca served as Senior Vice President, Global Quality & Regulatory, Acute Care Therapies at Getinge. Earlier in his career, Jerry held senior executive roles at Becton Dickinson and Company, C.R. Bard, Inc., and Smith+Nephew plc. Mr. Porreca has more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry, with a track record of leading large-scale quality transformations, regulatory interactions, inspection readiness programs, and global quality system improvements. He earned an MBA in management from Seton Hall University and a BS in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary

Claudius O. Sokenu is our Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. He is responsible for our global legal, corporate secretary, ethics and compliance functions. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Sokenu was General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer at Unisys and Senior Vice President and Global Deputy General Counsel at Cognizant. Previously, he was an Equity Partner with two Am Law 100 law firms, Shearman & Sterling and Arnold & Porter, and an Associate and Partner at Mayer Brown. Prior to his 17 years in private practice, Mr. Sokenu served in the Honors Program at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement. He is a fellow with the American College of Governance Counsel. Mr. Sokenu earned a LLM in securities and financial regulation from Georgetown University Law Center, a LLM in corporate and commercial law from the University of London’s King’s College London and London School of Economics and a LLB with Upper Class Honors from London South Bank University.

President, VWR Distribution & Services

Corey Walker is our President of VWR Distribution & Services. He is responsible for our third-party products, proprietary lab platforms and services. Most recently, he was President and CEO of ILC Dover, a global supplier to the biopharma and medical device end markets that was acquired by Ingersoll Rand. He has nearly two decades of experience accelerating the growth of life sciences and advanced materials businesses, as well as familiarity with Avantor’s global business. From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Walker was an Executive Vice President at Avantor and led the Americas region as well as the global Biomaterials and Electronic Materials businesses. In addition to Avantor, he has held leadership roles at DCP Midstream, Halliburton Energy Services, Dow Chemical and Dell Technology. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
