Associate Giving & Volunteerism

Volunteerism reinforces a shared sense of purpose and social responsibility, so Avantor organizes events during the workday to bring our teams together and deepen community connections. Our events happen at or near Avantor facilities around the world and align with our giving pillars. Event activities support community needs through hands-on service, educational engagement and environmental stewardship initiatives.

Our Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Program offers eligible associates up to 8 hours of paid volunteer time per year, allowing associates to choose where they make a difference. This program is offered to eligible associates in the following geographies: Canada, India, Ireland, the U.K. and the U.S. including Puerto Rico.

At Avantor, we know that encouraging charitable giving empowers associates to support the causes they care about and fosters a more engaged, connected and purpose-driven workforce. Through tools like our Giving Goodness portal, we make it easy for associates to submit eligible financial donations for a dollar-for-dollar match from the Avantor Foundation and a two-for-one match during our Month of Giving. This program supports and amplifies the generosity of our associates into tangible outcomes for people and places in need.

To support Avantor associates and their efforts to make a difference in their communities, the Donations for Doers program recognizes and rewards associates for volunteering during personal time. Associates can select a nonprofit to receive a financial contribution from the Avantor Foundation when they use the Giving Goodness portal to log volunteer time completed during nonwork hours.
